Something I love about this week's reading is being able to see the full fruition of things we read in Mosiah.

As Abinadi was dying, he told the wicked priests of Noah precisely how God would execute vengeance upon them. This week we read that it happened just as Abinadi prophesied.

Also in Mosiah, we read the Lord's promise to King Mosiah about the great missionary work his sons would accomplish and that they would be delivered from out of the hands of the Lamanites. This week Mormon confirms that these promises were fulfilled.

I have experienced the Lord making and keeping His promises to me and my family, sometimes promises that seemed impossible at that time. I am grateful for the power of the priesthood which allows us to still have prophecies today and to hear the Lord's promises from the lips of His servants. I know that He continues to fulfill His promises and prophecies, in His time and in His way, just as He did in the Book of Mormon.

It is amazing how this weeks reading directly correlates to the current conference issue of the Ensign. I think a recurrent theme of this past conference was how if we keep our covenants and follow the Lord he will bless us. And He is obligated to bless us. Like you sister Grimm the Lord is always blessing me and my family. Isn't the gospel awesome!

I am always amazed at the testimony that Ammon and his brothers had. In Alma 22:8 And now when Aaron heard this, his heart began to rejoice, and he said: Behold, assuredly as thou livest, O king, there is a God.

For me, they set an example of what testimony is and give me something to work on.

Yes we are a little behind on our reading but better late then never!!!!

Hooray Freestone family! I'm glad you're continuing to read. I know you are blessed for your efforts!

I love the excitement on Jared's face when he brings scriptures to Primary and tells me about something you have recently read with him.
