I am always amazed when I read about Abinadi. He stood for his faith and obeyed his Lord. He was a great missionary. When you think he only touched one person, Alma but then look where Alma took the truth, it is awesome. I am so grateful for Prophet Joseph Smith to follow through so we have the Book of Mormon in our days.

Mosiah 18 is one of my favorite chapters. Here we learn about the baptismal covenant, and see the organizing of the church. It is such an exciting time!

I also like verse 28, "And thus they should impart of their substance of their own free will and good desires towards God, and to those priests that stood in need, yea, and to every needy, naked soul."

Which of us has not been a "needy, naked soul" at one time or another? I am grateful for the gospel that inspires us to choose to reach out to those “needy, naked souls” among us, and for those in our ward who have truly taken this message to heart. (Like our dear Bishop Williams -- and many, many others.)

Next weeks reading is posted. I was waiting for the information and I got it yesterday. Don't you just love Abinadi. What obedience, faith, love for his Savior, and dedication to the Lord.
