I usually post a comment on Saturday morning but I won't live here next Saturday. I had promised the ward council that I would create a posting each week and comment each week. So I can stay true to my word I thought I had better post my comment a week earlier.

I have read ahead and I love this section of reading. The principles of faith are all throughout these versus. Faith is something that is so easy to have yet so hard to obtain. I am grateful for the people of Ammon and the faith they demonstrated. Nothing is impossible when the Lord is on our side.

Thank you, Bishop Williams! I will miss reading your posts each week and the insights you shared with us.

One of the things I love about reading the scriptures over and over again is the chance I have to remember previous experiences I've had with particular passages. One of those is in Helaman 5:30, "And it came to pass when they heard this voice, and beheld that it was not a voice of thunder, neither was it a voice of a great tumultuous noise, but behold, it was a still voice of perfect mildness, as if it had been a whisper, and it did pierce even to the very soul"

This verse was the basis of my part in the Faith Walk at Young Women's Camp in 2005. (Thank you, Sister Gill, for that opportunity.) I still remember how strongly I felt the spirit as I testified to the young women that night about how the Holy Ghost speaks to us. I know the scriptures are true and that the Lord continues to communicate with us through those words, through our current leaders, and through the Holy Spirit. We only need to tune in and listen.
