These chapters remind me that it is my job to raise an army for the Lord -- spiritually prepared, knowing what is right, and willing to fight for it.
I think we are all responsible for raising an army of God. The Family, A Proclamation to the World outlines our responsibilities as parents. It is amazing how important the methods we use in raising our children. It does make a difference when we pray in our homes, when we treat each other with respect, when scriptures are read, when family home evening is held, when appropriate movies are watched, when the Sabbath day is kept sacred, and when the parents demonstrate the blessings of living all of the gospel principles. Aren't we lucky to have the gospel of Jesus Christ. What a blessing!
